**Concept:**

The surface area of a sphere = 4 × π × r^{2} (∵ r = Radius of the sphere)

The area of square = (Side)^{2}

**Calculation:**

Let be assume the side of the square is x and the radius of the sphere is r.

⇒ x^{2} = 16, x = 4 cm

⇒ The radius of square = 4 × (50/100) = 2 cm

⇒ The surface area of square = 4 × (π) × 2^{2} = 16 π

**∴ The required result will be 16 π.**
